Rooftop Drinking in the Concrete Jungle

During our trip to Hong Kong we met a friend for a couple of beers. He took us to the Wooloomooloo – a rooftop bar that looks out over Victoria Harbour and the Happy Valley racecourse. Perfect for escaping the busy streets.

The bar is on the 31st Floor of The Hennessey in Wan Chai and is popular with ex pats. Great for seeing the city at night. The missus tells me they do a decent cocktail too. They also have a steakhouse but we didn’t go in.

If you like tall buildings Hong Kong is high rise heaven. They have the largest number of skyscrapers in the world. But if you’re thinking of living there you might have to make do with a shoe box. Space is at a premium and the rents are lively.
